Whether you're building new tooling or transferring an existing mold, Aroplax combines engineering, tooling strategy, and production expertise to build reliable, scalable manufacturing programs.
No two molding projects are the same. Every application brings its own engineering, tooling, and manufacturing challenges, and solving those challenges early is what sets successful programs apart.
At Aroplax, we help customers overcome complex tooling challenges involving:
Some of our most successful programs began with a manufacturing challenge others considered too complex or impractical. By combining our engineering expertise with innovative tooling and automation strategies, we help customers turn difficult concepts into reliable, cost-effective production programs.
Aroplax offers DFM support, tooling strategy, injection molding, and long-term production support. Aroplax helps OEMs build reliable manufacturing programs from concept through production.
Lower cost per part through optimized tooling strategy
Faster cycle times and improved manufacturing efficiency
Improved part quality and process consistency
Longer tool life with reduced maintenance
Greater long-term return on tooling investment
Tooling is designed by Aroplax and manufactured by qualified domestic or overseas mold builders to meet each customer's cost, quality, and production requirements. Every mold is built to Aroplax’s engineering specifications and managed, reviewed, and validated by our engineering team to ensure the tool meets performance, quality, and production objectives of the program.
Every Aroplax-designed tool is backed by our industry-leading tooling warranty and supported by our in-house tool room, providing ongoing maintenance, repairs, engineering changes, and production support throughout the life of the program.
Our in-house tool room supports every stage of a tool's lifecycle, from prototype tooling and engineering changes to preventative maintenance and production support. By maintaining tooling in-house, we respond quickly to issues, minimize downtime, and help maximize long-term tooling performance.

What is tooling and tool transfer?
Tooling is the precision mold used to manufacture plastic components through the injection molding process. Every production part begins with a properly engineered tool, making it one of the most important investments in a product's lifecycle. The design and quality of the tooling directly impacts part quality, cycle times, repeatability, maintenance requirements, automation opportunities, and overall manufacturing cost.
A tool transfer occurs when an existing production mold is moved from one injection molding supplier to another. This often happens when an OEM changes suppliers due to quality concerns, delivery issues, capacity limitations, cost reduction initiatives, business changes, or because they need a stronger long-term manufacturing partner.
At Aroplax, every tool transfer begins with a comprehensive engineering evaluation to ensure the tooling is capable of delivering reliable, long-term production.
How do you evaluate an existing mold or tool to determine whether it should be transferred, modified, repaired, or replaced with new tooling?
Every transferred tool undergoes a comprehensive engineering evaluation before production begins. We assess the overall condition of the mold, steel wear, maintenance history, part quality, cooling and ejection systems, documentation, compatibility with our equipment, automation opportunities, and future production requirements. Based on our findings, we recommend the approach that provides the best long-term performance, reliability, and return on investment, whether that's transferring the tool as-is, making modifications, refurbishing it, or replacing it with new tooling.
Do you only offer in-house tooling as part of an injection molding project?
Aroplax is not a standalone tooling supplier. Our tooling services are offered as part of a complete manufacturing partnership, allowing our engineering team to optimize tooling for long-term production performance, quality, and cost rather than simply building a mold.
Yes! Our on-site tool room allows us to respond quickly to tooling needs throughout the life of your program. We perform preventative maintenance, repairs, engineering changes, mold modifications, troubleshooting, and production support to minimize downtime and maximize tool life. We also build smaller tooling projects in-house, including MUD (Master Unit Die) tooling, prototype tooling, bridge tooling, fixtures, and other custom tooling solutions that support product development and production.
If some documentation is unavailable, our engineering and tooling teams can coordinate to evaluate the mold, identify potential risks, and develop a plan to successfully transition the program into production.
Investing in better tooling sets your long-term injection molding and part manufacturing up for success. Advantages include:
From tooling strategy and mold design to production launch and long-term tooling support, Aroplax helps OEMs build reliable manufacturing programs engineered for long-term success.
